Welcome
My heart has always been with kids, teens, families, and faith communities.
For much of the past thirty years, this is where I’ve served. As a child, attending church with my family nurtured my faith in Christ. As a teenager, other experiences eventually led me to this work.
Today, I serve as a church camp resource for leaders in my faith community across the Western United States. I’ve also served for many years as a youth program director, camp director, and religious educator for teens.
Outside of church, I’ve worked in early childhood education and for a nonprofit dedicated to implementing evidence-based programs for at risk youth.
My name is JEN
Nice to meet you, and thank you for visiting this site.
I’m Jennifer Weaver, a mom of three grown children I’m grateful to share close relationships with, and an empty nester married to my best friend for over 30 years.
As a child, my faith was shaped by the kind clergyman who baptized me, positive experiences at church, and loving teachers at my religious K–8 school.
But in high school, things changed. I began attending another Christian church, and that became a source of unwanted scrutiny as various adults tried to influence my decision in ways that were not always healthy.
But my Savior was always there.
He guided me through the turbulence.
Recently, I saw what I experienced as a teen described as coercion in my church’s youth protection training. That and other faith-based resources helped me understand the impact of those years, why places where I usually felt joy were later flooded with unwanted feelings, and how confusing it can be to work through difficult experiences connected to faith and belief.
More than anything, I now see that our Savior understands spiritual wounds. More than anything, I'm left with this—He overcame.
For the last ten years, I’ve been gathering the faith-based resources I wish had been available to my younger self—and, honestly, to some of the adults outside my family who tried to influence my faith.
If you’ve ever felt confused, pressured, or uneasy in relationships where faith played a central role, you may find encouragement here.
Our Savior knows every detail. He stood by us then, and He stands by us now. With His help, we can overcome as we reflect Him.
Your friend in faith and hope,
Jennifer Weaver

Research on mental health and participation in a faith community has shown that positive outcomes outnumber negative outcomes nearly ten to one.
That has been my experience.
But I’ve also been the one.
Reflect Him is for the one. And for those who love or lead the one.

The Book
The Girl Who Dropped Jesus and Then He Carried Her is my upcoming memoir about faith, belonging, and the subtle ways fear, humor, shame, and faith in Jesus Christ shape belief and family.
From childhood mishaps—like dropping Jesus in church—to navigating a faith transition at a religious high school, my story traces what it means to be caught between two faith communities and three generations, while discovering my Savior’s power to heal spiritual wounds.

The Podcast
The Reflect Him Podcast includes conversations about the things that impact joy in faith and family—and how Jesus Christ helps us heal, respond well, and strengthen relationships connected to faith and belief.
Grounded in lived experience, faith-based resources, and conversations with educators and experts, Reflect Him explores agency, dignity, belonging, religious literacy, and Christlike influence in families and faith communities.
